Lead / Senior quantitative trader for US Power

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead/Senior Quantitative Trader to join the US Power Trading team to help establish our presence in the North American power markets.

Location: Aalborg or Aarhus, Denmark

You will be responsible for driving the development and deployment of quantitative trading strategies for the North American power markets, and be responsible for delivering P&L. This is a senior/lead role that offers an opportunity to join a young team, with a single-minded drive toward realizing commercial targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy quantitative trading strategies for the North American power markets
  • Day-to-day trading responsibility for a portfolio of algorithmic strategies
  • Day-ahead to real-time (DART) and FTR trading
  • Contribute to our collaborative team culture with sharing and sparring of trading ideas

Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of experience having traded f.ex. US or EU day-ahead auctions, prompt power capacities (day-ahead/week-ahead), or other fundamentally driven energy products.
  • A keen interest in trading, and thrives in a performance-driven environment
  • A degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, economics, or a related quantitative field
  • Pathological curiosity and a drive to continuously develop yourself and the team
  • Accepting of an automated and quantitative approach to trading
