Legal Intern

Norlys Energy Trading is currently looking for a dedicated Legal Intern (4th – 8th semester) to become a valued part of our journey toward creating the best possible workplace while shaping the future of energy trading. ‍What will your tasks be?

You will primarily collaborate with the Legal and HR teams where you will play a vital role in providing support for employment law matters. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work independently, with a focus on facts and a keen eye for details, all while gaining experience in drafting both national and international contracts. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support for contract drafting, with a specific focus on employment law.
  • Assisting with the review and analysis of legal documents such as contracts, letters, and agreements.
  • Analyzing various legal issues.
  • Undertaking various administrative ad hoc tasks.

You will right from the start have tasks, responsibilities, and access to and interactions with all personnel across the company as we believe strongly in your professionalism and ability to find your place and sweet spot in our company.

What does the Legal function do?

The Legal team consists of four full-time lawyers from Denmark, Romania, and Germany plus two student assistants. The legal function works with all sorts of matters such as:

  • Negotiating and amending (international) standard contracts
  • Drafting bespoke (international) contracts such as Power Purchase Agreements
  • Contract management
  • Legal claims/conflicts
  • Improve the quality, quantity, and speed of our work throughout all areas
  • Managing all employment-related contracts

The profile we are looking for

  • English language proficiency is a precondition.
  • You are currently studying law or business law (4th – 8thsemester).
  • You have a keen interest in employment law and contract drafting
  • You have experience in employment law, either through practical application or from your academic studies.
  • You approach your work with a strong emphasis on facts and evidence.
  • You take responsibility and support where needed.
