Meet our people

Intraday Asset Trader
Do you thrive when the market moves fast, and decisions matter? Are you energised by volatile markets, quick decisions, and the challenge of turning live data into action? Do you want to build or deepen your trading experience while working directly with wind and solar assets?
As an Intraday Asset Trader, you will optimise NET’s asset portfolio in the live intraday power market. From day one, you will trade, assess risk and identify opportunities as market conditions, forecasts, and asset production change.
The team
You will join our Intraday Asset Trading team, responsible for the intraday optimisation of NET’s asset portfolio, with a particular focus on wind and solar assets.
The team monitors forecasts and live asset data as part of a 24/7 setup and works closely with colleagues across proprietary trading, automated trading, meteorology, and trading operations. We take a market-first approach and continuously look for ways to improve how we trade.
The role
Your focus will be to understand what is happening in the intraday power market and turn that information into trading and risk decisions. As NET’s asset footprint grows, continuous optimisation becomes increasingly important.
You will start trading from your first day. If you bring relevant experience, there may be scope to influence the area from the start. If you are newer to trading, you will learn quickly alongside skilled colleagues.
Key responsibilities
During your shifts, you will combine market information, weather forecasts, and live asset data to act on changing conditions.
- Trade and optimise NET’s wind and solar asset portfolio in the intraday power market.
- Monitor forecasts and live production data and assess their potential impact.
- Make fast, considered decisions while managing risk.
- Quantify weather developments and understand their impact on renewable production and positioning.
- Identify opportunities, execute them, and help turn successful approaches into more automated solutions.
- Collaborate with colleagues across trading, meteorology, and operations.
- Develop and test hypotheses, including through coding where relevant.
- Take part in shift rotation covering day, evening and weekend shifts.
Following a live intraday power market that reflects what is happening in the physical power system is one of the most exciting parts of this role. The market can be highly volatile, and you need to enjoy that volatility, act on opportunities and stay sharp as conditions change.

What we are looking for
You have a strong numerical mindset, enjoy making decisions, and are comfortable working in an environment where conditions can change quickly.
What matters to us:
- A genuine interest in fast-paced environments and continuous change.
- Strong numerical skills and the ability to assess information quickly.
- Confidence in making decisions and taking calculated risks.
- Curiosity and a strong motivation to keep learning.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and an interest in working in a growing area.
- The ability to manage several priorities at once and work comfortably in a shift-based setup.
- A background as a recent MSc graduate or experience within intraday trading; neither is a strict requirement.
Nice to have:
- Coding skills or an interest in using coding to test trading hypotheses.
What we offer
You will get hands-on exposure to intraday power trading, early responsibility and the opportunity to build your understanding of renewable assets and power markets alongside skilled colleagues.
- Trading responsibility from your first day.
- The opportunity to deepen your knowledge of intraday trading and power markets.
- Collaboration across several trading-related disciplines.
- Increasing responsibility as your experience grows.
- The possibility of helping shape the area over time.
- Shift rotation covering day, evening and weekend shifts.
- No night shifts, as these are covered from Singapore.
Interested?
If fast-moving markets, renewable assets and real trading responsibility sound like a combination you would enjoy, we would like to hear from you.
