Are you curious about how trading algorithms are built and used in real markets? Do you enjoy working close to code, data, and decision-making? And are you looking for a student role where your technical skills support systems used every day?

We are looking for a Junior Quantitative Developer (student) to join our Physical Asset Management (PAM) team in Aalborg. You will support the development of execution algorithms and core systems used in daily trading and pricing operations, working closely with experienced developers and market specialists.

About the department

Physical Asset Management is a fast-paced and highly specialized team with a strong passion for the markets. With an increasing share of renewable energy in the system, managing assets safely, securely, and with a clear view on risk is essential.

We work as risk-takers, traders, and decision-makers, and our impact can be seen directly in the performance of renewable assets and in supporting the balancing and stability of European power grids. Collaboration is close, ideas are welcome, and curiosity is a natural part of how we work.

Your key responsibilities

  • Support C# developers in developing execution algorithms for trading
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of an existing code base
  • Assist in building reporting tools for PnL overview and analysis
  • Design, develop, and maintain core system components used in daily pricing operations
  • Develop secure and well-structured APIs with clear authentication, authorization, and audit trails
  • Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing to ensure high and consistent code quality

In Physical Asset Management, we work very close to the systems that support daily trading and pricing. This role is about curiosity, solid engineering, and helping build solutions that are actually used in the market.
