Are you curious about energy markets and driven by data and quantitative models? Do you want to see your analyses feed directly into real trading decisions? And are you looking for a student role where your work truly matters?

We are looking for a Junior Trading Analyst to join our Intraday Analytics team. You will become part of a highly skilled and ambitious trading environment, where data, models, and market insight are used every day to support intraday power trading decisions.

The position is based in Aarhus or Aalborg.

About the team

Intraday Analytics is a fast-paced and highly specialized team with a strong passion for the markets. We believe the best trading decisions are found by digging deep into data, understanding market behavior, and continuously challenging existing approaches. Collaboration is close, ideas are welcome, and curiosity is a natural part of how we work.

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quantitative models that directly support and enhance trading strategies
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trading opportunities and improve decision-making
  • Collaborate closely with traders and technology teams to optimize execution processes
  • Conduct research to develop new trading strategies and refine existing ones
  • Support traders in day-to-day trading and have a real influence on the decision-making process

In Intraday Analytics, we work close to the market every day. This role is about being curious, digging into data, and helping turn analysis into better trading decisions.

Peter Lumbye Thomsen
Head of Intraday Analytics

We are looking for someone who

  • Is currently enrolled in a quantitative field such as physics, statistics, data science, mathematics, or Mat.Econ
  • Has strong programming skills in Python, R, MATLAB, or similar languages
  • Has experience with data analysis and statistical modeling
  • Has excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
  • Thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced team environment
  • Has experience within power trading (an advantage, but not a requirement)
  • Brings a strong can-do mentality, curiosity, and a willingness to go the extra mile

What we offer

  • Hands-on experience in a professional and data-driven energy trading environment
  • Close collaboration with experienced traders and analysts
  • The opportunity to apply theoretical skills to real-world markets
  • A driven and ambitious team with high professional standards and strong engagement
  • Flexibility to balance work and studies

If you are curious about the role and motivated by data-driven trading, we would be happy to hear from you.
