Manager, Gas Analytics

Today, you are a Senior Gas Analyst ready to take on a leadership role - or you may already lead an analytical team in a similar industry and are now eager to transition into the energy markets.
As Manager of Gas Analytics, you will lead a new team that supports NET’s Physical Gas Trading business with strong analytical capabilities. The team develops valuation models, decision frameworks, and tools used across trading and portfolio management. Working closely with other Physical Gas stakeholders, you will help ensure decisions are data-driven, transparent, and commercially focused.
This role offers a unique opportunity to set up the team, define its mandate, and hire talent. You will help strengthen NET’s quantitative toolkit and support important commercial and strategic decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Build and lead the Gas Analytics team, including hiring and developing talent.
- Promote a culture focused on analytical quality, collaboration, and commercial impact.
- Lead the development and maintenance of quantitative models and decision tools
- Turn complex analysis into clear and actionable trading insights.
- Analyze P&L drivers and performance, including scenario assessments.
- Act as the analytical hub for Physical Gas, ensuring strong cross-team collaboration.
- Work with development teams to specify and design analytical tools.
This role is central to strengthening our analytical capabilities and supporting better decisions across our gas business. We are building something new, and the right leader will have real influence from day one
Key competencies
- Prior knowledge of energy trading markets or financial markets is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in quantitative modelling, data analysis, and analytical tool development.
- Strong ability to distil complex information into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
- Highly proactive mindset with exceptional stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrate result-driven trading mentality.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, with a track record of developing and guiding high-performing analytical teams.
