Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute trading strategies for day ahead capacities and short-term power products.
- Analyze energy markets to identify trends and trading opportunities.
- Forecast market movements using data, analytics, and fundamental insights.
- Manage market risk and ensure full compliance with regulations.
- Take part in the daily shift rotation, including weekend shifts.
- Build and maintain relationships with market participants, partners, and stakeholders.
- Evaluate performance using P&L metrics and other trading metrics to optimize outcomes.
This role is for someone who sees the bigger picture in the market—who’s excited by fundamental-based strategy, understands complexity, and thrives in a high-pace environment.
Job requirements
- Proven track record in a day ahead capacity trading role, at least 5 years or more.
- Strong understanding of power and gas markets; knowledge of emissions trading is a plus.
- Sharp analytical and quantitative skills, with a strategic mindset.
- Confident decision-maker, even under pressure.
- Skilled in communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
- Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
