Key responsibilities
- Analyze energy markets to identify trends and long-term trading opportunities.
- Develop and execute trading strategies for power, gas, and emissions markets.
- Forecast market movements using data, analytics, and fundamental insights.
- Manage market risk and ensure full compliance with regulations.
- Build and maintain relationships with market participants, partners, and stakeholders.
- Evaluate performance using P&L metrics and other trading metrics to optimize outcomes.
This role is for someone who sees the bigger picture in the market—who’s excited by long-term strategies, understands complexity, and thrives in a high-pace trading environment.
Job requirements
- Proven track record in an energy trader role, with at least 5 years’ experience.
- Strong understanding of power, gas and emissions markets.
- Sharp analytical and quantitative skills, with a strategic mindset.
- Confident decision-maker, even under pressure.
- Skilled in communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
- Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
