Software Developer - Back Office

In Back Office, Client Solutions, you will develop solutions side by side with users, ensuring high data quality and efficient workflows that support critical business processes across the organisation.
About the team
Back Office, Client Solutions is part of Finance and works behind the scenes to ensure that contracts, data and settlements are aligned – correctly and on time. The team’s responsibilities span operations, controlling, development, and project work, covering areas such as settlement of energy products, reconciliation of invoices, and handling of market-related data.
The team is a close-knit mix of business specialists and developers — not split into separate business and IT departments. You will work side by side with the people who use the systems you build, giving you direct insight into the processes your software supports and an immediate sense of the impact your work has.
The team collaborates widely across the organisation as well as with external partners. A strong focus on optimisation, data quality, and teamwork drives the way the team operates.
Key responsibilities
- In this role, you will work across development, optimisation, and operational support, contributing to both new solutions and improvements of existing systems.
- Design, develop and test new software solutions
- Optimise and enhance existing software to support evolving business needs
- Support daily operations within Back Office, Client Solutions
- Improve and automate workflows and processes through software solutions
- Manage and maintain code documentation

What we are looking for
We are looking for a developer who combines solid technical skills with a genuine interest in understanding the business domain. You enjoy collaborating with others, take initiative, and see value in building solutions that make a real difference.
Must-have:
- 3+ years of experience with C# and .NET in modern development environments
- Experience building robust backend solutions and integrations
- Strong understanding of API design principles, system integration patterns, and relational databases
- A relevant degree (e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in energy markets or commodity trading
- Personal and professional qualities:
- Ability to see the bigger picture and translate technical decisions into business value
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with domain experts
- Curiosity and motivation to learn the business domain
