Meet our people

Software Developer, Intraday Digitisation
Would you like to build software together with the gas and power traders who use it every day? In Intraday Digitisation, you will work on operational tools and trading automation that solve real challenges in fast-moving energy markets. You will be involved from the first conversation with a trader to a solution running in daily operations.
About the opportunity
In Intraday Digitisation, you will develop software supporting gas and power trading. The work spans user-facing applications, backend services, integrations, and trading algorithms.
You will work closely with traders to understand their daily challenges, test ideas, and turn the ones that work into reliable operational solutions.
About the team
Intraday Digitisation develops software supporting gas and power trading, from operational tools and decision support to automated decision-making and execution algorithms.
Our purpose is simple: reduce complexity and remove distractions, so traders can focus their attention where human experience creates the most value.
That also shapes how we work. Rather than receiving fully specified requirements, we explore problems together with traders, build prototypes, collect feedback, and improve solutions through short iterations.
Our backend services are primarily developed in C# and .NET, while our user interfaces are built in React and TypeScript. We also maintain a shared frontend component library used across the company.
Because focused, distraction-free interfaces are central to our purpose, the team includes a dedicated designer. You will work closely with the designer to turn complex trading workflows into calm, intuitive user experiences.
You do not need previous experience in energy trading, but you should want to learn how gas and power markets work and understand the environment in which our software is used.
What I like about this role is that you are close to the traders and the problems you are solving. You can discuss an idea with a trader, build something, get feedback and see how it works in practice. That gives you a lot of responsibility, but also a real opportunity to influence what we build and how we build it.

Key responsibilities
You will be involved throughout the development process, from understanding a problem with a trader to building, deploying, and improving the solution.
- Design and develop operational tools for gas and power traders.
- Build backend services, APIs, integrations, and automation in C# and .NET.
- Develop user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
- Work with our designer on clear and focused user experiences.
- Contribute to our shared frontend component library.
- Develop decision-support, operational tooling and trade-execution algorithms.
- Prototype solutions with traders and refine them based on feedback.
- Improve and take ownership of solutions used in daily commercial operations.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a developer with strong software engineering skills who is also curious about the people and processes behind the software.
You should be comfortable working directly with domain experts, asking questions, challenging assumptions, and making sense of problems that are not always fully defined from the start.
You do not need to be equally experienced across our entire technology landscape. You may be strongest in backend or frontend development, but you should be interested in working across both and understanding the complete solution.
Your experience
Must-have
- Professional experience developing modern software solutions.
- Experience with an object-oriented language such as C#, Java, or a comparable language.
- Experience with modern web development, preferably React and TypeScript.
- Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and relational databases.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into simple, reliable software.
- Strong communication skills and an interest in working with non-technical domain experts.
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with C# and .NET.
- Experience building operational or business-critical software.
- Experience with automated decision-making, optimisation, or execution algorithms.
- Experience developing shared frontend components or design systems.
- Knowledge of energy markets, commodity trading, or financial markets.
How you work
You are curious, outgoing, and comfortable talking directly with users. You want to understand the problem behind a request, not just what someone initially asks you to build.
You like testing ideas through prototypes, but you also recognise when a solution needs the reliability required for daily trading operations. You take ownership, contribute your own ideas, and are comfortable discussing solutions with both developers and commercial specialists.
What we offer
You will join a team where the software you build is used directly in daily trading operations.
- Close collaboration with gas and power traders.
- The opportunity to work with both operational tooling and trading automation.
- Work across frontend, backend, integrations, and algorithms.
- Influence solutions from the first prototype through to operational use.
- Close collaboration with a dedicated designer.
- Contribute to a frontend component library used across the company.
- Learn about European energy markets and trading.
- Ownership and room to influence how we build software.
Interested?
If you like building software close to its users, solving operational problems, and learning how technology is used in energy trading, we would like to hear from you.
