Have you met... Anna?
From nurse to software developer, Anna has taken an extraordinary path into energy tech. At NET, she’s valued for her skills, trusted with responsibility and eager to see more women join her field.

Anna’s way into tech is anything but traditional. She started out as a nurse, working long shifts while raising two young children and studying Computer Science at UCN. During one particularly tough night shift, she decided it was time for a change. A heartfelt post on LinkedIn led to several offers and one of them was from Norlys Energy Trading.
Joining NET opened a new world. What struck her most was the level of trust she met from day one.
“The most surprising thing was that I was expected to be an actual, integrated part of the team. I actually had to develop. Nobody asks you to get coffee; they ask for your professional opinion.”
That expectation to contribute - not just observe - became a turning point. Anna discovered a culture where learning happens through openness, feedback and collaboration. She quickly learned how valuable it is to ask for feedback, and to give it in return, because it helps everyone improve.
“If you want to learn, people are eager to teach. Don’t be afraid to ask.”
Now, as she steps into a full-time software developer role, Anna is proud of how far she has come and excited about what’s ahead. Her journey shows that there’s no single path into tech, and that determination, curiosity and a willingness to learn can take you anywhere.
She hopes more women will consider software development, knowing how much diverse perspectives strengthen a team.
For Anna, NET is a place where you’re trusted to grow, supported by colleagues who help you succeed, and valued for what you bring - no matter where your story began.
