Aske didn’t take the obvious route into IT, and that’s exactly what makes his story interesting. He started out studying economics because it seemed like the sensible choice. But along the way, he realised he was drawn to something else entirely. He had always been curious about how systems worked, how things connected and communicated. That curiosity eventually led him to take a step back, rethink his path, and explore a world he hadn’t considered before.

“I didn’t even know a job like this existed back in high school. But when I discovered IT and NET, everything clicked.”

Joining Norlys Energy Trading as an IT apprentice turned out to be the perfect fit. Here, Aske found a role where he could combine his technical curiosity with a workplace that encourages learning and ownership. From his first day, he was met with trust and inclusion, not just as a trainee, but as a real team member.
